flea playoff report, part v
May 10, 2008
the lakers had a tough game last night
some of this intense pressure in the second round of the playoffs
made it hard for some lakers to settle in to their game
pau gasol, jordan farmar, and sasha vujacic need to settle down and
do what they know how to do, not be thrown by this playoff intensity
of course by settling into their game i do not mean playing without
great intensity, but to not be thrown out the groove of what they do
well
it has been hard for pau for all three games against utah
he has been a little tense........
i know that, for myself, when i am on tour playing shows, that i want
to put on the deepest most intense show that i can every night
and sometimes, i push so hard i try so hard to jump out of the
building with the music that i tense up and dont let the magic flow
through me
but when i remember to just surrender to the music and open my self
to it flowing through me, then i have ten times the energy, play way
better, think of great things spontaneously and without effort, play
them fluidly,
and i am at the top of my game
so that is what i wish for the lakers who have seemed, to the
untrained eye like my own, to have tensed up a little in thius
pressure situation basketball game in utah
it is my fervent hope that losing this game last night will band the
lakers together and they will, by virtue of their togetherness, be
able to play with a unity so glowing
with light
that it will light up their game in the darkness that lurks in the
dreaded salt palace or whatever that place is called
kobe, by sheer force of will, nearly carried the lakers to victory
last night, and that is reassuring
that even with the team playing not nearly as well as they had played
in los angeles, they still had a good chance to win there at the end
but, ya know what i say, good chance splood dance, plood
sklance...they lost, utah beat em fair and square
boozer played great, and they played good d......
except , whats up with the utah flag that waves out practically into
the court from the baseline when the lakers shoot free throws?
i feel bad for the jazz that they have to resort to such cheap tactics
go lakers
