well
that was the first time i can remember when i just couldn't bear to
watch a laker game
i always watch when the lakers lose
i figure it's kind of like a ritual of suffering that one must endure
in order to get the full enjoyment out of the winning when it comes
but i literally could not bear to watch that last game after the 3rd
quarter
i wimped out on this one
i went and jumped in the ocean and went surfing
even though sharks feed at night
and believe it or not
some kind of creature bit my foot
left two tooth marks and blood spurted out for a while
and this after i was bitten by a squirrel a week or so ago
while entering the building to talk on the loose cannons radio show
(my favorite talk radio show)
but that was easier than watching the lakers get back on their heels
then get behind
then get blown out
then give up
the loss really hurt
but
not as bad as the game 4 loss
which was the collapse that gave the celtics the series
that really took the wind out of my sails for 48 hours
game 4 was the real killer
i feel badly that the lakers were unable to put up more of a fight
even when victory was out of reach
i guess that is easier said than done sometimes
first of all
congratulations to the celtics they won because they were a better team
they crushed the lakers
the lakers could not handle the pressure that the green put on them
they just couldnt match up with that team
the celtics deserved to win
ok enough of that
the main gist of this blog is
i am really proud of the lakers
they had a great season
no they are not the champs but they made it to the finals
and they did it without their starting center andrew bynum
the lakers future is bright as the midday sun on a crystal clear day
the lakers missed having our center holding down the paint
and i am full with hope and anticipation for next season
go lakers
