An Ode to Mihm
Feb 22, 2009
i would like to bid a fond farewell to chris mihm for everyone who has been down on him and giving him a hard time, you're memories are so short that guy played well for the lakers his first couple of years here before those ridiculous foot injuries those were difficult time for the lakers, those few years of rebuilding after shak left and chris mihm was a solid player for the lakers in a difficult time for the team......
after his injuries, he never regained his form, and i don't know if that is because his body couldnt do it anymore, or if his confidence was shot, or if he just didnt get enough playing time to find his rhythm.....but whatever the situation may be, i am grateful for the good work he put in before his injuries derailed him after the injury he never complained, he always kept a positive attitude cheering from the bench and he was just a good dude.
i wish him good luck at memphis and hope he can get some playing time and get back to being a solid center in the nba like he once was.
ok
one may have noticed that a couple of blogs i wrote a piece in support of lamar odom , my favorite laker, who i felt that people were way to down on, (saying trade him blah blah blah) iwas writing that that he was not getting the credit he deserved.... well, anyways, since around that time, lamar has been ON A WICKED TEAR!!!!!!! the guy has been rocking.....getting between 15 and 20 rebounds a game and scoring in double figures, chalking up the assists, man lamar is awesome......he looks like he has really put on some muscle too, and it hasn't slowed him down any, the guy is fast and inexhaustible, he is ruling in every way. kobe bryant is the greatest player on earth and one of the greatest of all time, he keeps getting better and wiser and everytime i see the lakers play, i do not take for granted that i am witnessing a shockingly good display of basketball craftsmanship from the greatest, and i feel very fortunate to see it, not to mention he is on my lakers, LIFE IS GOOD, kobe is the leader of this team, the basketball genius, the capo di tutti capi, but, lamar odom is the soul, and i love the dude..... he is playing like an all star..........
understand this when i say that lamar odom is my favorite laker.... i think that magic johnson is the greatest basketball player of all time, the greatest player to ever lace up his shoes and i really love him but throughout his time on the lakers, my favorite laker was michael cooper, and he didn't even start.....i just dug coop's style, dug his heart, and that's how i feel about lamar....
(even though the most coop like player on the lakers is trevor ariza)
shannon brown's debut with the lakers was an exciting one, he did the most amazing block on a hawk i cant remember who, rising way above the basket blocking a dunk and snatching the ball out of mid air it was incredible, he was called for a foul, a call i sincerely disagree with it was a clean block,...whoah the little feller's intense!
adam morrison was hesitant his first time out, but i have compete faith in him, if he gets the time he will excel...i hope for him to be a star on the lakers....he can do it....
last night's game against the hornets was a thrilla......d fish coming up again with the crucial shot, what more can one say, d fish is the glue that keeps this team sane, and he is just solid game in game out, mr. 0.4, a very underrated player derrick fisher goin for his fourth ring.......
what's up with the phoenix suns scoring 140 points in 3 successive games ?!?!?!?!?!?! am i the only one who thinks that is insane?
